Opera Launches Android Ad-Blocker

Opera just announced that there is now a built-in ad-blocker in its Android Opera Mini Browser. Before the mobile browser ad-blocker, Opera was the first to integrate an ad-blocker into its desktop app. Last month, Opera also announced a free VPN with its desktop and said that they would launch a free VPN for mobile soon.

Opera CEO, Lars Boilesen says, “Opera is the first browser company to offer a native ad blocker across devices. We do this because we want to provide people with the fastest browsers in the market. Our speed test shows that online ads slow down the browsing experience.

Now, with Opera, you can browse a lot faster than, for example, in Chrome.” Opera Mini is reported to be 40% faster by blocking ads, & reduces the data consumption for loading a page by around 14%.

This new development also has a detrimental effect on webmasters who use ads to generate funds from there websites as Opera is one of the widely used browsers on Mobile devices across every platform around the world.

How To Get Better Battery Life On Windows 10

Microsoft’s Windows 10 upgrade is terrific for those looking to get the most out of any device that they already own. Available since last July, it has some great apps and options built-in for notebooks, desktops, tablets and Windows

Battery life is paramount though. It’s not fun carrying around an external battery or charger with your notebook, tablet or Windows

I have drafted this article to show you how to get the most out of your battery if you are using window 10 Below.

Making its debut with the free Windows 10 upgrade is the Battery Saver. Battery Saver isn’t an add-on or a separate download. Microsoft built the utility directly into Windows 10, replacing the battery profile and power management tools that users relied on for years.

Battery Saver is intended to take the guess-work out of power settings. There’s only one interface for it, and it activates itself manually depending on the settings you set.

Look for the battery icon in the right corner of your Taskbar. Click on it.

When in Tablet Mode, the battery meter is always visible, but outside of Tablet Mode it disappears, forcing you to click or tap on the arrow on the Taskbar.

What you see in the Battery menu depends on what your device’s power state is. If it’s charging, you’ll see a nice countdown clock, letting you know how long it’s going to take before you have a full battery. You can use the toggle on the left to change how bright your screen is.

When your device isn’t plugged into an internet connection you get a clickable icon for Battery Saver and in severe cases, an estimate of how long you have until your battery dies. Tap or click on Battery Saver to turn it on. Right-click with your mouse or tap and hold on the toggle to open the Battery Saver menu.

Tap and click on Battery Saver Settings.

Battery Saver dims your screen and tries to help you save battery life by prevent apps from doing work in the background. From the Battery Saver Settings Menu you can decide which apps bypass Batter Saver and check for updates anyway. You can also decide when you want your device to go into Battery Saver mode with the toggle at the top of the screen

How to Get Better Windows 10 Battery Life: Unplug Your Accessories

We often connect our smartphones and other gadgets to our PCs, hoping to give them a quick charge or transfer a bit of information. Smartphones, mobile internet modems and more feed off the power that your USB port provides, helping to deplete your battery faster. If you need a bit more power to get through the day, try unplugging all nonessential accessories.

How to Get Better Windows 10 Battery Life: Manually Dim Your Screen

Every device has two big draws on power: its processor and its display. This is why Battery Saver goes after apps running in the background and your screen brightness when it’s turned on. If you’d like to get better battery life in Windows 10 start by dimming your display when mobile.

Win10 BATTERY How-to-get-better-Windows-10-Battery-Life-7 (1)

With the mouse pointer, click on the Action Center bubble on the right of the Taskbar. Tablet users should place their finger on the right edge of their screen and slowly slide it to the left. Tap or click on Expand.

Now tap or click on the screen brightness toggle to decide on a lower brightness setting. You can also adjust screen brightness in the battery menu. The device used in this example is a Surface Pro 3. As such, your brightness options will be different. Every device maker sets their own default values for brightness, not Microsoft.

How to Get Better Windows 10 Battery Life: Turn Off WiFi

If you’re really feeling like you need to eek out every bit of battery you can, you can turn off Wi-Fi from the Action Center or from the Wi-Fi menu. Tap or click on the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar then tap or click on the toggle on the left in the Wi-Fi menu.

How to Get Better Windows 10 Battery Life: Close Programs

Windows Store apps are designed in a way that helps limit their battery drain. Windows 10 manages them, restricting their processes so that they don’t harm your experience. Programs aren’t designed with battery concerns in mind. If programs are running in the background they are taxing your processor since Windows basically lets them do whatever they want.

Programs that’ll harm your battery life include photo editors, video editors, video games and even some browsers. (Chrome for Windows is said to be a huge drain on battery life.)

Close them once you’re done with them.

How to Get Better Windows 10 Battery Life: Quick Tips

The Windows 10 battery icon shows how much power you have in real-time. You don’t have to leave what you’re working on to find out how much time you have left. For a battery life estimate, place the mouse cursor over the battery icon in the Taskbar. Note that this changes in real-time depending on what programs you have open and how bright your screen is.If you hover over the battery icon when charging you’ll get an estimate of how long you to stay plugged up until your battery reaches full capacity. Most notebooks feature ambient light sensors that will adjust your screen brightness depending on how much light there is in the room. It’s why notebooks always tend to get better battery in low-light and not in bright-light. These sensors tend to boost screen brightness so that text and images are easier to see.

You can Now enjoy Your Window10 Battery life to fullest.
Its imperative to note that these article is not a fix for any already damaged battery.
You can get a genuine battery from jumia or any other prominent online store for your device.

Tecno Boom J8 :

Tecno is wining the Camera War gradually after the release of Tecno Camon C8 last year, the Boom J8 features similar camera qualities with the Camon C8 and Note 2 X600. Boom J8 spots a Rear facing camera of 13 MP, 4864 x 2736 pixels, autofocus, LED flash and a Front facing camera of 5MP with led flash light not to sharp to blur your vision but very good to take night selfies and produce a quality picture result. Infinix Note 2 X600 :

One of the most important features of smartphone is Battery and its very vital in developing countries with poor electricity. The Note 2 X600 comes with a massive 4000mAh Non-Removable Li-on battery that takes 1hour to charge till full via the “Flash Charge” feature and it promises a standby and talktime of 300 hours and 21 hours respectively.

Tecno Boom J8 :

Tecno could have made the battery bigger but the HiOS handled the battery performance quiet well giving you that godzilla feeling, Boom J8 comes with a small 3000mAh battery blessed with a fast charging technology that speeds up the charging to a favorable level and normalizes the charging to prevent the battery from damage.

Operating System

Infinix Note 2 X600 :

Bundled with Android 5.1 Lollipop XUI with a stable OTA XUI Marshmallow 6.0 update plus user community for consumers.

Tecno Boom J8 :

Running the latest and newest Tecno HiOs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, rumor has it that 6.0 Update is scheduled to arrive late April. But i think Tecno could have just made this device Android 6.0 straight from production, but i guess they have there reasons best known to them. You can also request for anything on the newly launched TecnoSpot.

Infinix Note 2 X600 :

Having the speaker placement at the back with the phone resting on the speaker the Infinix Note 2 X600 is not a perfect choice for entertainment. It’s quite obvious to notice that Note 2 does not come with an headphone. Sounds impossible but its true. This sends a clear message that music is not included on the list but the phone still gives pleasurable sounds to the ear.

Tecno Boom J8 :

Music is the combination of sounds. Tecno tried to combine music plus imaging in one phone. Placing the speakers at the bottom edge of the phone with the charging port separating the speakers. Designed like the iPhone 6 plus. Included in the Boom J8 is the araimo designed headphone that gives you good music.

Going through the above listed specifications these two devices have similar features but at the end it all depends on what you want. If you’re a camera lover and selfie fan the Boom J8 is a good choice. If you are also a Music lover the Boom J8 is good,  If you care much about battery, wide screen, decent camera and latest Android OS  the Infinix Note 2 X600 is the best choice for you.

At the end though the choice is still yours to choose which one you love and fits your demands, we would love to hear from you  about these two devices, which one do you think is the best to choose from, use the comment box below.

How To Fix Infinix Hot Note X551 Charging Problem

Am a proud user of the famous Infinix Hot Note, this smartphone is well designed and has lot’s of features that makes me love it. But one of its most relevant issue is “Charging Problem” am proud to say i encountered this last night and am happy to inform  you that i fixed it. You should check out my post on Infinix X551 User issues and see if your question has been answered.

There could be so many causes of slow charge or not charging on the Infinix Hot Note X551. The phone comes with a flash charge feature this makes charging the 4000mAh Battery extra-ordinary fast and still last for 7 hours.

First thing you need to do is check if your charge is not burnt or affected by high electricity voltage. You can do this by smelling it, if you have a blocked nostrils give someone else to passive it for you.

If the charger adapter is okay then you need to check your USB Cable. We both know the Infinix USB Cable that comes with the phone is of low quality. Replace it with another cable.

In my case, the USB Cable was faulty so i was getting a slow charge instead of “Flash Charge” after trying out with another cable i got back my quick charge.

If all of this options does not work you might need to restart your phone. Even after restarting the phone it’s still the same. You need to visit an engineer who’s skilled at phone repairs he might change or repair the charging port to get it working again.

Conclusion, cases like this should be handled with care as your Infinix Hot Note USB/Charging Port is the door to reviving your phone in any case of software related issue. I strongly advice you take your devices to CarlCare for repairs even if you are no longer covered by warranty your phone will still be taken good care of.

Before you drop your comments you might want to check out our post on Infinix X551 User issues and see if your question has been answered. I will be glad to help you via the comment box below.
